Costs and Booking
We understand that plans can change, so we strive to be as accommodating as possible. You can easily cancel a booking online via My Account. If you cancel with more than 7 days’ notice prior to the flight date, you will receive a 100% refund; more than 48 hours but less than 7 days notice prior to the flight date, then you will receive a 75% refund; less than 48 hours prior to the flight date or are a “no show”, then you will still receive a 50% refund; If there are changes to the passenger list, or if you’re running late for your flight, please inform us promptly so we can adjust accordingly.
Pricing is determined based on route distance, expected ground speed, pilot costs, and the hourly rate of the aircraft, as provided by our partner operators. We charge for the repositioning as the aircraft needs to depart from, and return to its home base each day. We offer discounts for return flights within a specific timeframe (called “short-stay”) because we can wait for you at the destination and then return. The maximum waiting time is limited by the pilot’s duty time.
When someone books a one-way flight, it creates an empty-leg return flight. We sell these empty-leg flights at a discounted rate, offering you a chance to enjoy a luxurious flight experience at a fraction of the cost. Keep an eye on our deals page for these special opportunities.
Destinations and Scenic Flights
Absolutely! Get in touch to book a scenic flight tailored to your interests. We’ll connect you with licensed operators whose flights offer stunning views from the air. These experienced pilots can fly at altitudes that showcase the beauty of coastlines, mountain ranges, or cityscapes, ensuring you enjoy a memorable bird’s-eye perspective. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the breathtaking moments.
Of course! Please contact us and we’ll be happy to facilitate this.
The licensed operators we work with can access far more airports than large commercial jets. Flights can arrive at both major airports and smaller regional ones, provided there’s a sealed runway of sufficient length (Note: grass and dirt airstrips are not used.). This allows us to offer a wide variety of destinations, from bustling cities to serene, remote locations. Check out our list of destinations for more details, and let your imagination take flight!
In-Flight Experience and Baggage
Yes, children can travel, but we recommend they be over 12 years old due to the need to wear adult headsets and the lack of onboard toilets. Infants can travel if we fit a car seat for safety. Please inform us in advance if you plan to travel with children or infants so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Please bring all baggage in 7kg soft backpack-style bags, as suitcases may not fit in our storage compartments. We are not set up to accommodate pets at this time. If you need to bring golf clubs or other large items, contact us to make arrangements. Depending on the number of passengers and their weight, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Flying in a small plane is a unique experience. You can check out one of our flights here. Small planes can be a little noisier than commercial jets, but you’ll probably be surpised by how smooth and quiet the journey is. You’ll be provided with noise cancelling headphones to block out most of the noise and enable clear communication with the pilot and other passengers. You can even listen to music or make phone calls via a Bluetooth connection. The experienced pilots from our partner operators are skilled in handling turbulent conditions. We do not fly in severe turbulence.
Accurate passenger weights are important for the safe operation of the aircraft. The weight and balance of the aircraft must remain within prescribed limits for safety reasons. If you’re unsure about your weight or your luggage, we have scales at the airport to verify everything before the flight.
The planes are climate controlled. We have heating and cooling on our planes and maintain a comfortable climate on board. Please inform the pilot if you are feeling hot or cold and they can adjust the climate.
Planning and Ground Services
Yes, there is ample free parking available at Bankstown Airport. You can leave your car safely parked at the airport for the duration of your trip, allowing you to focus on enjoying your flight without worrying about parking fees.
Most regional airports offer convenient taxi or hire car services. For those who prefer a bit more adventure and flexibility, folding bikes (supplied by us) can be a great option. This way, you can easily explore your destination on your own terms. We recommend making arrangements in advance to understand the available transportation options and plan accordingly.
Safety and Comfort
Yes, the Diamond DA62 is one of the safest twin-engine aircraft, equipped with the latest technology and very capable of flying on one engine if necessary. The aircrafts undergo rigorous safety checks before each flight to ensure everything is in perfect working order. The pilots operating flights through our licensed charter partners are highly trained professionals who meet all regulatory requirements, including rigorous training, regular proficiency checks, and flight reviews. They are experienced in navigating a variety of conditions to help ensure a safe and comfortable journey.
Let us know in advance about any medical conditions or if you’re pregnant. You must be able to walk unaided and not require any foreseeable assistance during the journey. If you need a wheelchair or walking frame, our journeys may not be suitable. For pregnant passengers, a medical certificate is required if you’re in your third trimester. Safety and comfort are our priorities, so please communicate any special needs you might have. Once you have booked you will receive a text message and email where you can “check-in” and advise us of any medical issues and confirm you are not carrying any prohibited items.
Weather and Flight Conditions
While some turbulence can be anticipated, it’s not always possible to avoid it entirely. The experienced pilots from our licensed charter partners are trained to manage turbulent conditions and will keep passengers informed throughout the flight. Mild to moderate turbulence is generally not a cause for concern, but if you have specific fears or sensitivities, please let us know when booking so we can communicate with the operator on your behalf. Flights are not conducted in severe turbulence.
Your safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsuitable, we may delay or reschedule the flight. The pilots on your flight are trained to handle diversions to other airports if necessary and closely monitor weather forecasts to ensure safe flying conditions. We stay in constant communication with air traffic control and use advanced weather tracking systems to make informed decisions about flight paths and timing. All planes have weather radar with turbulence detection, satellite weather and de-ice systems similar to the commercial airlines.
In the rare event that a diversion is necessary due to weather or other factors, our operators pilots are well-trained to handle such situations. Should we need to divert a flight we will discuss this with you ahead of time.
